Marketing Communications/Photography Services

Photography Services is the office within University Marketing Communications responsible for providing professional-quality photographs of and for the university in support of its communications and outreach activities.

For very competitive fees, Photo Services can supply professional photographers for publications and events and provide prints from 4"x6" to 24"x36". The office maintains extensive files of Ohio State photos available to university units and outside contractors to be used in conjunction with licensed activities or products and as a source of images for personal (non-profit) use.

Free images for the university community
A limited selection of university images is available at no charge to faculty, staff, and students for low-resolution use (such as a PowerPoint presentation, web site, or screensaver). Browse our free images.

Those who need a high-resolution print of any of the photos in this gallery or want to schedule a photo shoot should contact Photo Services.

Images for the general public
For personal use: If you would like to have a digital or print image from the slide show for your own use (i.e., framed for your home, as a gift, etc.), contact Photo Services.

For commercial use: If you require photographs of the university for commercial use (i.e., you intend to profit from the use), you must first contract with the university’s Trademark & Licensing Services. Please contact them before you contact Photo Services.
